MONETABRIEF – Sri Lanka-based Sierra Cables said it was investing $3.2 million in new machinery to expand its export production capacity.
There is "sustained demand from overseas markets," Sierra Cables said in a stock exchange filing.
"The investment is expected to approximately double the company’s export production capacity, providing greater scope to meet growing international demand and to further expand the company’s export business."
The capacity expansion is expected to be completed towards the end of this financial year and commercial production is expected from April 2027. (Colombo/Aug21/2026)
