MONETABRIEF – Sri Lanka's 3-month bill yield edged up at Wednesday's auction while the six and 12 months' continued to fall, data from the state debt office showed.
The 3-month yield rose to 9.03 percent from 8.96 percent with only 17.4 billion of the 35 billion offered sold.
The 6-month yield fell to 9.24 percent from 9.27 percent with 28.6 billion rupees sold after offering only 25 billion.
The 12-month yield fell to 9.77 percent from 9.81 percent with 33.8 billion rupees in bills sold after offering 20 billion.
The 3 and 6 month bills are offered on tap till 03.00 pm on 10 September. Settlement is on 11 September. (Colombo/Aug09/2026)
