MONETABRIEF – Sri Lanka's Treasury bill yields rose across maturities at Wednesday's auction, data from the state debt office showed, after bond yields also surged over the past week.

The 3-month yield rose 15 basis points to 9.18 percent from 9.03 percent, with all offered 25 billion rupees sold.

The 6-month yield rose 12 basis points to 9.36 percent with all offered 25 billion rupees in bills sold.

The 12-month yield rose 11 basis points to 9.88 percent with all offered 20 billion rupees in bills sold.

Sri Lanka's bond yields have surged as the rupee was also depreciated over the past week amid global bond jitters. (Colombo/Sept16/2026)
