MONETABRIEF – Sri Lanka-based LB Finance Plc said a unit set up in the Philippines has been given a license to operated as a finance company.
A 'Certificate of Incorporation and Authority to operate as a Finance Company' dated September 01 was received by the company on September 17, LB Finance said in a stock exchange filing.
LB Finance said last December that it had received approval from Sri Lanka's central bank to start a wholly owned unit under the name of LB Finance Philippines Inc, with an initial capital of 650,000 US dollars.
LB Finance stock was trading at 153.50 rupees up one rupee on Friday. (Colombo/Sept18/2026)
