MONETABRIEF – Sri Lanka's cabinet has cleared 617 billion rupees worth Ditwah re-building and restoration projects, Media Minister Nalinda Jayatissa said.
Through allocations provided by the annual budget, 1,028 projects worth 515.460 billion has been approved.
Another 38 projects worth 102.22 billion rupees will be implemented through Provincial Councils.

The projects were approved by the cabinet under a provision of the Public Finance Management Law, allowing special projects to be approved in case of natural disasters or emergencies. (Colombo/July02/2026)
