MONETABRIEF – The US dollar was quoted 335.80/90 rupees in mid morning trade Friday, stronger from 336.00/30 at yesterday's close and bond yields were steady after rising earlier in the week on Iran war jitters, dealers said.
Sri Lanka's central bank has bought dollars heavily preventing appreciation and injecting money in recent weeks.
Bond yields were up also ahead of a bond auction next week.
A bond maturing on 15.09.2027 was quoted at 10.30/45 percent, Friday, unchanged from 10.30/45 percent.
A bond maturing on 15.02.2028 was quoted at 10.45/55 percent unchanged from 10.45/55 percent.
A bond maturing on 15.12.2029 was quoted at 11.00/20 stronger from 11.10/20 percent.
A bond maturing on 01.08.2030 was quoted at 11.35/43 down from 11.37.42 percent
A bond maturing on 15.10.2030 was quoted at 11.45/48 down from 11.47/45 percnet.
A bond maturing on 15.12.2032 was quoted at 11.65/75 percent flat from 11.65/75 percent.
A bond maturing on 01.11.2033 was quoted at 11.75/85 unchanged from 11.75/85 percent
