Sri Lanka Sells Rs75bn in 2030, 2035 bonds

MONETABRIEF – The debt office raised 70 billon rupees from the auction on June 26, selling all offered bonds, data from the state debt office showed.

The debt office sold 45 billion rupees of 15 October 2030 bonds at an average yield of 11.44 percent.

15 billion rupees of 15 March 2035 bonds were sold to yield an average of 11.88 percent.

The yields were down from the last two auctions of close maturities.

At a June 11 auction, 15 May 2030 bonds were sold at 11.65 percent.

At a May 27 auction, 15 March 2035 bonds were sold to yield 12.93 percent.

The settlement date is July 01.

Both bonds would be available on tap until the day before settlement. (Colombo/June26/2026)
