MONETABRIEF – Sri Lanka's Sampath Bank has been given approval to sell 5 and 7 year bonds green bonds to raise up to 10 billion rupees, the Colombo Stock Exchange said.
The 5-year bond would pay 13.00 percent annually.
The 7-year bond will pay 13.25 percent, also at the end of the year.
Subscriptions would open on July 17.
The bonds are rated, listed, unsecured subordinated redeemable debentures, with a Basle II clause that allows them to be converted to equity to replace lost capital and to repay depositors. (Colombo/July14/2026)
