MONETABRIEF – The Defence Minister of India, Rajnath Singh will visit Sri Lanka from September 09 to 10 and with a delegation from the Ministries of Defence and of External Affairs.
He will "hold consultations with the leadership of Sri Lanka on a range of issues" an Indian government statement said.
Minister Singh will also interact with the Indian diaspora in Colombo.
The visit will "strengthen the traditionally strong and friendly bilateral relations in mutually beneficial areas including a strong maritime & defence partnership," the statement said. (Colombo/Sept06/2026)
