MONETABRIEF – Sri Lanka's Softlogic Life Insurance said it had inked an agreement to buy 60 percent of Diamond Life Insurance Company Limited of Bangladesh.
"The acquisition is in line with the Company's regional expansion strategy and represents entry into the Bangladesh life insurance market," Solflogic Life said in a stock exchange filing.
Softlogic Life will pay 1.9 million dollars for the firm which had an insurance license.
Softlogic Life is Sri Lanka second largest life insurer. (Colombo/June29/2026)
