MONETABRIEF - Anilana Hotels and Properties Plc said its hotel in Nilaweli, Trincomalee and Passikudah in Eastern Sri Lanka were taken over by Sampath Bank for debt recovery.
The firm had gone Court of Appeal against the decision, Anilana said in a stock exchange filing.
An investor had expressed willingness to buy the properties for 1.2 billion rupees.
The firm said it had gone to the Commercial High Court seeking to negotiate with Sampath Bank.
If a compromise solution is reached in the Commercial High Court, it will be disclosed, the firm said. (Colombo/Sept15/2026)
