MONETABRIEF – State-run SriLankan Airlines has awarded a contract for passenger and cargo management and telecommunications to SITA Switzerland SARL for 4.01 million US dollar, cabinet spokesman Nalinda Jayatissa said.
The contract covers a computer reservation system, passenger services system, departure control, cargo management and global network infrastrucrure.
The award was made after international competitive bidding. SITA was the only responsive bid.
The contract will run from 2026 October 01 to 2031 September 30. The award was approved by the cabinet of ministers. (Colombo/Sept20/2026)
