MONETABRIEF – Sri Lanka's Cabinet of Ministers has approved drafting laws to regulate cryptocurrencies and virtual asset providers, to reduce the risk of financial crimes, spokesman Nalinda Jayatissa said.

Already people had ways of investing in virtual assets and crypto currencies but there was no registration of oversight.
