MONETABRIEF – Sri Lanka's cabinet has cleared plans to build 35 roads that will link with the Central Expressway with an initial estimated cost of 104.9 billion rupees, spokesman Nalinda Jayatissa said.
The access road will link the central expressway with road networks in Western, Wayamba and Central Provinces.
For Section I of the Central Expressway 12 access roads of 117.68 kilometres were planned.
For Section II, 14 access roads of 83.98 kilometres were planned.
For Section IV, 9 access roads of 81.36 million were planned.
The roads are to be build in the 2026-2030 period. (Colombo/Aug29/2026)
