MONETBRIEF – Sri Lanka's Cabinet of Ministers had given the nod to lease land in 13 regional industrial zones to investors, spokesman Nalinda Jayatissa said.
The proposed investments are valued at 2805.26 million rupees.
The industries are expected to generate 870 direct jobs.
The investors were evaluated by a regional industrial service committee and the project evaluation committed of the Ministry of Enterprise and Industries Development.
The land will be leased for 35 years. (Colombo/July28/2026)
