Sri Lanka Bond Yields Up, Rupee Steady

ECONOMYNEXT – Sri Lanka’s rupee closed at 335.70/80 to the US dollar in the spot market on Tuesday, steady from 335.75/80, while bond yields were up, dealers said.

Bond yields were up after high demand seen at the last auction and some selling by investors, market participants said.

A bond maturing on 01.08.2030 closed a 11.40/50 percent up from 11.30/40 percent on Monday

A bn 01.02 2031 closed at 11.60/65 percent from 11.58/63 percent.

A bond maturing on 15.01.2033 closed at 12.05/15 up from 11.95/12.05 percent.

A bond maturing on 15.10.2034 closed at 12.25/35 up from 12.20/30 percent.

The Colombo All Share Price Index closed down 39.7 points at 21,082 points.
