Three Petitions Filed Against Sri Lanka Constitutional Change

MONETABRIEF - Three parties have filed petitions in the Supreme Court against a proposed amendment to Sri Lanka's constitution, the speaker told parliament.

The amendment seeks to increase the retirement ages of judges.

The move has drawn fire from the opposition groups who say it is targeted at preventing one individual from becoming the chief justice.
