MONETABRIEF – DFCC Bank said it had completed the acquisition of the wealth and retail banking business of Standard Chartered Bank Sri Lanka and started live operations on August 03.
About 50,000 customers, wealth, credit card, deposit and small and medium enterprise had migrated, DFCC Bank said in a stock exchange filing.
With six Standard Chartered Bank branches also coming with the acquisition, DFCC Bank's network had grown to 139 with 260 employees also moving.
DFCC Bank had paid 3,644 million with applicable taxes for the business. (Colombo/Aug03/2026)
